Biography
Paul developed as a youth player at the renowned ‘Joeys Academy’, in the St. Josephs Football Club in Dublin. He played Youth and School Football for Ireland, before completing a BSc Sports Coaching and Development at Liverpool University, and gaining his Uefa ‘A’ Licence.
Paul worked full time for 10 years at the Football Association of Ireland, within the Irish elite youth development programme. Paul also coordinated the Football Association of Ireland BA Sport and Exercise (Soccer) programme at IT Carlow, working with League of Ireland and National Women’s League squads and players. While Head Coach at IT Carlow, Paul guided the team to 2 National League Titles, and 5 National Cup Titles in 6 years.
Paul coached with Team Ireland at the World University Games in 2013 held in Kazan, Russia and in 2015 held in Gwangju, South Korea, and Ireland Colleges in the annual quadrangular series involving England, Scotland, and Wales when the Irish team were crowned champions in 2013 and 2014.
