After yet another cancellation to a league fixture South Shields will face Whitley Bay Rockcliff for the third time in four weeks.
Our purposed game against Northern III will now be played as a double header later in the year.
Having faced each other twice already this year both sides currently have one win each. The first encounter saw Shields run out winners in the league in a tight affair. The second time around Rockcliff came away with the W in a friendly fixture. The side trusted with bringing back the win this time around is as follows.
James Robinson once again starts in the front row, but this time he is joined by the returning Sam Cowie and Gerard Millar
Daniel Hodgson continues in the second row joined by debutant Tom Vivash
The impressive back 3 of Matty Luther, James Camm and Lewis Wilson will be looking to continue where they left off last week.
Thomas McManemy comes back into the starting line up in place of the absent Paul Munro at 9 and he’s joined by Leejay Robinson in the 10 shirt.
Slight change in the centres from last week, where top try scorer Taylor Burn moves into the middle in place of Declan Crawford who is hopefully available off the bench just after kickoff. He’s joined by Jonny Cooper who will be looking to continue impressing the coaches.
Nathan Wood and Josh Baynes both return to the side looking to cement their place in the team on the wing. They are accompanied by the returning Liam Belshaw at fullback
Kick off is 2pm at Lovaine Avenue, Whitley Bay, NE25 8RW.
