Sporting Khalsa Youth Review.

2023/24 has been good, but 2024/25 will be better.
- Craig Bowker

Season 2023/24 has been a challenging season, we launched our MJPL program this time last season and with a full pathway of Sunday boys teams to look after, it's felt like the seasons gone in the blink of an eye.

One challenge with a growing youth section is the pressure to source suitable facilities, this has been my main focus during the season, and I hope that 2024/25s new partnerships will see an improvement in facilities for all of our youth players playing away from The Guardian Warehousing arena.

Last season we launched our free season tickets to youth members, it's been great seeing our youth players attending first team games. Their support has been appreciated by our first team staff and players, and Rowe coaching team and players would like to thank you for your amazing support. With the initial trial going well the club will be rolling out the same offer for the 2024/25 season, we've ordered 350 turnstile cards and these will be distributed during a preseason game to all fully registered members.

We've had lots of success on the pitch within our youth teams, this was topped by our U14S team managed by Indo and Vinnie winning the Tyreece Bernard Cup, in front a large home crowd, without volunteers like Indo and Vinnie we wouldn't be able to grow from strength to strength, and as we develop I'm sure our youth teams will provide more celebratory evenings like the 21st May.

As we approach the new season I'd like to announce the final step in our youth pathway, U21S MFL Development team, it will support our talented players by transitioning into senior football, our 21s will be playing home games at the club with 10:30 kick offs again it would be great to see you all at the games to support there journey next season.

Finally again thank you for your amazing support and I promise to communicate more often over the upcoming season, and hopefully see you at a game soon.
