After a long, successful stint with local side Thornton-Cleveleys, culminating in a title win to earn promotion to the NWCFL First Division North last season, Ritchie adds depth and quality to Gate’s attacking ranks.

On joining Squires Gate, Ritchie said: “I’ve felt really good since minute one, the gaffer and the lads have welcomed me with open arms and we’ve worked really hard collectively so far.

“It’s a big day for me signing for Gate - a well established club in the NWCFL Premier Division, and I’m looking forward to getting going.

“I play with my heart on my sleeve, I’ll cause opposition problems and give 100% for the club from minute one.”
