Saturday sees Stamford visit Melton Town as they face their third test of pre-season.
Both sides come into the game having won one and lost one so far in their pre-season campaign. Both sides victory in pre-season so far has came against Grantham with Melton running out 2-1 winners whilst the Daniels won 4-1 in the Lincs County Cup. Melton's defeat came in their most recent friendly losing 3-2 to Loughborough Dynamo on Thursday night.
Melton are managed by former Gresley duo Tom Manship and Jon Stevenson who have a wealth of local footballing experience, with Jon starting out with Leicester City before playing for a number of local sides including Boston United and Shepshed and with Tom whos has played for Corby and Grantham amongst others. The duo have began to build a strong squad including the likes of former Leicester City winger Levi Porter and former Daniels' defender Edi Appleton amongst other strong signings from higher leagues. Adding further strength to the Melton setup is former Lincoln City player Nathan Arnold, who currently plays for Boston United, helping out as a coach with the club.
