Manager Graham Drury made one change from the defeat against AFC Telford United with Tobias Liversidge starting in place of Tendai Chitiza.
The home side started brightly and long ball from goalkeeper Callum Smith found Johnny Johnston and he held off George Hobbins to get a shot away but was blocked by Tom Jackson at the expense of a corner.
Stamford then took the lead of four minutes when Smith missed a clearance, and this let Jack Duffy in to score into an empty net.
Then the Daniels almost grabbed a second when Lee Shaw crossed from the left and he found Richard Gregory, but his header was brilliantly pushed away by Smith in the home goal.
Smith came to Redditch’s rescue again when Shaw set up Gregory again, but the keeper was able to push away from danger.
Then Redditch came close to equalising when good build up play found Johnston on the edge of the box and his shot went just wide of the post.
Into the second half and Stamford had another great chance to double their lead when a cross from captain Rob Morgan on the right found Jack Duffy unmarked in the penalty area and the Daniels frontman planted his header towards goal but Smith again denied Stamford.
Redditch got themselves level on fifty-seven minutes when a rushed clearance found George Atwal on the edge of the area, and he fired the ball through a crowd of players and into the far corner of the net.
The home side were now on the up and Johnston fired a shot which was saved by Jackson.
Midway through the second half, Stamford were reduced to ten men when George Hobbins was sent off for collecting two yellow cards.
Then Redditch had another chance to take the lead when Marvellous Onabirekhanlen fired a shot from the edge of the area but Jackson was able to push away from danger. Then Atwal fired a free kick from the edge of the area but Jackson was able to deny the home side again.
Just when the game was likely to end in a draw, the home side got a winner. The ball was played from right to left and then Sam Fitzgerald crossed and he found Alex Cameron and he planted his header past Jackson.
