Saturday sees Stamford visit the Nanpantan to face 18th place Loughborough Dynamo. Stamford lie five places and two points ahead of the home side with one win, three draws and a loss to start off the season. Loughborough have played one less and have won one, drawn one and lost two.
In terms of goals this season Stamford have the second worst attack so far whilst also having the joint best defence conceding and scoring just three goals in five games. Loughborough have scored five and conceded eight so far giving them a -3 goal difference. Loughborough started well with a 3-2 win at home to Bedworth before travelling away to Sheffield FC where they drew 2-2, since then they have lost their last two league games (3-0 against Leek and 1-0 against Basford). They also lost their most recent game in the FA Cup 3-1 against Stourbridge.
Loughborough feature three former players in their ranks with Chris Hollist from last season’s squad as well as Roger Lee who played for the club in 2015. The final player is former Stamford youth team player Sam Thorpe.
