Saturday sees the visit of Romulus to Borderville as Stamford look to bounce back from defeat at Cleethorpes despite a dominant performance.
Romulus come into the game in 21st position in the league having won one (3-0 at home to Lincoln) drawn one (0-0 at home to Market Drayton) and losing five. This has seen them pick up no points on their travels away from the West Midlands. These losses have come against Corby, Carlton, Alvechurch, Kidsgrove and Bedworth. In total they have scored 11 goals which makes them the second highest scoring team in the bottom half but have conceded 21 which gives them the worst defence in the division. Amongst their ranks they have the joint third highest scorer in the division, Romario Martin who has scored five times in his first seven games.
Stamford come into the game having not won in their last six. This run has seen the Daniels defeated by Loughborough, Stocksbridge and Cleethorpes as well as drawing to Peterborough Sports and Spalding in the league. The home side was also defeated by Cambridge City in the FA Cup. Despite this they are unbeaten at home and will be looking to continue on this form. This run has seen Stamford slip down the table to 18th place.
