Competing in only their first season the Ladies have had a meteoric rise by going unbeaten in both their league and league cup campaign drawing only one game and winning the rest. They now wait to see in which Division they will be promoted to in the East Midlands Women’s Regional League.
The ladies started as overwhelming favourites against a Louth team that they had beaten comfortably in the league cup. They lived up to their reputation as being one of the best footballing sides in the Division with a comprehensive 13-1 win over Louth with hatricks from leading league goalscorer, Molly Cunningham and fellow striker, Keira Swanson.
Circe Rodgers playing in centre midfield also scored two with Captain, Lauren Bartle, Jess Broadway, Shelley Broadway, Keeley Jackson and Ada Henson all scoring a goal apiece. It rounded off a great season for the ladies who will have a rest before embarking on a tournament in Hamburg, Germany in July.
The ladies are looking to strengthen their squad for next season so if you are 16 plus or soon to be 16 and have experience of playing ladies football or youth football send a message to Manager, Robin on 07500 450452.
