Important Update for anyone travelling to Marlborough RFC

Paul Hayes19 Mar - 12:46

The M4 will be closed this weekend between Junction 19 and Junction 18 - Please plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey to Wiltshire

Marlborough RFC have made us aware that the M4 will be closed between Junctions 19 and 18 to allow a bridge to be demolished. The closure is predicted to cause significant traffic delays around Bristol and Bath.

Please plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey.

The suggestion is to come off the M5 at either Exeter or Taunton and take the A303 all the way to Tidworth and then head north to Marlborough via the A345.

From The South:

  • From Salisbury which is located almost directly south of Marlborough, take the A345 north towards Amesbury.
  • Stay on this road all the way to Marlborough
  • Coming down the hill into the town, continue until you reach the High Street.
  • Turn right and travel along the High Street and then turn left in front of the Town Hall up Kingsbury Street.
  • At the top of the hill where the road bears right.
  • Continue directly onwards and the Clubhouse can be located by taking the first turning off to the left and following the road until you enter the Car Park.

The other option is to still to use the A303 and then head up through Warminster, Trowbridge and Devizes and on to Marlborough RFC.
