With 2 games of the new league season gone, Saints are training hard for their first Cornish Derby away to Truro. There are 4 other Cornish teams in Western Counties West, Truro, St Ives, Bude and Wadebridge Camels, so supporters can look forward to a total of eight full-blooded and passionate encounters this season.

There is something about a Cornish Derby that gets the heart beating and juices flowing. Regardless of league position or final score, each and every game is hard fought with no quarter given either on the field of play, or in the banter between supporters. To be frank neither side would have it any other way and no matter the score a warm post-match welcome is assured in the bar.

Saints vs Truro, home or away, is always one of the first games that players and supporters eagerly scan their fixture lists for whenever these teams have been in the same league. Saints won both games in their promotion winning 2012-2013 season, but following a 2 year gap while Saints plied their trade in South West 1, Truro won both games last season as acquaintance was resumed.

The game kicks off at 3pm and with the usual boisterous , large crowd Derby game crowd expected, supporters are encouraged to arrive early and give the lads your support.
