STAVELEY MWFC APPOINT FIRST TEAM ASSISTANT MANAGER

STAVELEY MWFC APPOINT FIRST TEAM ASSISTANT MANAGER

Barry R Dyke12 Jun 2013 - 22:48

Following the appointment of Neil Cluxton as first team manager we are delighted to announce that James Colliver is joining us as Assistant Manager whilst also signing on for us as a player which is without doubt a double win bonus for us. Discussions had been going on for several weeks and on Monday Jas finally informed Neil that he was joining us much to Neil's and the club's delight.

Jas played non league for Worksop Town, Ilkeston, Frickley & Belper after leaving Rotherham United. James was team captain in a successful team at Belper town for 3 years. James started the 2012/13 season with us before leaving to manage Handsworth FC in the county senior league for the remaining 14 games. James is an experienced player/coach holding a UEFA B coaching qualification. His previous coaching experience professionally was with RUFC youth but recently focused on coaching as well as playing at non league level with Worksop Town,Frickley FC & Handsworth FC.

James works as head of year at The City school in Sheffield and is so well known and respected in local footballing circles. His mature and professional nature will blend in perfectly with Neil's qualities and to our club's ethos of trying to merge young sports minded people with experience and drive whilst overseen by professional people and coaches at our club.

We know both Neil and Jas are so excited about working alongside each other at first team level whilst determined to see the junior section, U19 and ladies team develop further but in doing so ensuring they jointly "team up" with the existing managment structure within the club from last year.

An absolutely terrific appointment we hope this will take the "club" in to our new management era from which slowly but surely we can see progression and hopefully honours at all levels.
