Wolverhampton Wolverines Aussie Rules Club - www.pitchero.com/clubs/wolverhamptonwolverines
The Wolverhampton Wolverines were founded in the Autumn of 2009. They were the brainchild of Brian Clarke, the head of Aussie Rules UK (ARUK), and were one of a number of clubs set up to try to meet the target of having an Aussie Rules team in every town/city with a bar from the Walkabout chain.
The mantle was taken on by Ian Mitchell, who at the time was playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Central Division of the ARUK National League.
After early training sessions failed to attract significant numbers, a new promotional campaign was undertaken with the help of the first Wolverines committee members; Ben Yeates and Christain James.
