After 2 weeks of cup action, and last week's cancellation at Springhead due to their cup game, Andy Jenkins & Chris Dodd's side will be looking to rejuvenate their league challenge. 4th before the "break" Georgians have now slipped to 8th due to the tight nature of the top half of the league, and they realise a win is hugely important for their hopes of keeping up their chase of the leading pack.
Springhead arrive 3rd from bottom of the MPL, but having won their last 2 games will be hoping their season has turned around. Over the years, the Lees based side have been notoriously difficult opponents for Georgians. This was highlighted by last years 1-1 draw at Springhead, when the home side held on despite being down to just 9 men.
After a hamstring injury suffered at Royton Town, midfielder Dave Brocklehurst trained in midweek and is fit to return. Fellow midfielder Luke Seaton looks to have overcome his niggling knee injury, and Jenkins and Dodd will be hoping left back Stu Torkington has recovered from his own hamstring strain.
Give the lads a shout tomorrow. Wrap up and get down to Cromley Rd for the 2 o'clock kick off. The clubhouse is of course open, serving beers, hot food and drink, and showing Sky Sports throughout the afternoon and evening.
