Luke was the former captain of Stockport SFA for the team playing from 2019-2021. Having succeeded for his school team on numerous fronts, Luke went onto captain his town earning 21 caps, 4 goals and the coveted player of the year award. After playing for Stockport SFA, Luke went back to playing grassroots football where he was seen by Stockport County FC.

Now that Stockport County have been promoted back to the English Football League, their academy have now been granted category three status, which allows them to run teams in the EFL programme. As a part of this, Luke has been offered a scholarship with the club to be part of their first academy U19s side since returning.

It is no surprise to us that Luke has earned this opportunity, as he always stood out as a hard worker, having excellent technical ability, and the leadership qualities to help shape a team. His former coaches are over the moon with the news and we of course all wish Luke the best of luck for the upcoming season with Stockport County.
