Batting first in a rain affected game, Stoney piled on the runs with George striking the ball to all areas of the ground which resulted in a memorable century! Skipper Tim also smashed 76, as the Stones posted 235/6 in 41 overs before the rain came!
With rain looking the only thing that could stop Stoney from winning, fairplay to Abingdon and the umpires for being keen for a result! The Stones restricted Abingdon to 170/8 in their 34 meaning a 65 run victory on the DLS method!
Unfortunately it wasn't to be a double winning weekend as tge 2s went down away at Swinbrook with a weakened side which is always to be expected on Bank Holiday weekend!
