Strathaven RFC are extremely proud to announce that the club has been awarded £272,126.22 via the South Lanarkshire Council Renewable Energy Fund and South Lanarkshire Council's Community Benefit Fund. The SRFC committee has worked incredibly hard to achieve this grant and we are delighted to receive this essential support from South Lanarkshire Council to improve our clubhouse for future generations. Making the clubhouse carbon neutral means essential funds which would have otherwise been spent on energy bills can now go towards providing rugby for all, giving back to our local community. A huge thank you to South Lanarkshire Council for considering our club, our plans for the future - and for giving us the opportunity to implement these essential upgrades.

The committee would also like to offer our most sincere thanks to Councillor Margaret Cooper for her huge input into the project. She has worked tirelessly to assist the club at every step of the process, providing her knowledge and expertise along with her undoubtable commitment to the local community. Councillor Cooper's work has ensured that Strathaven Rugby Football Club will be accessible to all for generations to come, allowing us to continue to improve the health, wellbeing and lives of our community through rugby and sport.
