History

Sunningdale City Football Club (SCFC) is a non-profit club servicing the Greater Blaauwberg community. Situated in the quiet suburb of Sunningdale along the West Coast Road (behind the West Coast Shopping Village), this newly established club offers quality coaching and football development to children in the community, as well as to underprivileged children from the outlying areas.
The name "Sunningdale City Football Club" represents the area and all the peoples within the immediate and surrounding community. Our colours of blue and white represent the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby beaches, while the yellow sun indicates a bright future for all the clubs members.
The club was started by a group of passionate and dedicated footballers and administrators who were involved in football administration, coaching and as players at other clubs. From humble beginnings, the club is rapidly growing from strength to strength, making positive waves in the local football community with our motto "Development, Commitment, Achievement".

SCFC caters for children of all ages, offering the opportunity to learn and play the game of football in a safe environment which promotes football excellence. Formed on the basis of, and operating along the lines of a football academy, the club also strives to be a valuable asset to the community by providing an indispensable football coaching service, enabling the development of effective soccer players while instilling confidence, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork.
SCFC's existence is based on the three cornerstones of football - facilities, staff and coaching programs - which, together with the fourth cornerstone (the players), create a football club that provides a pathway of development for the players to achieve football excellence and to compete to the best of their abilities.
Football discipline and conduct are integral to our club and we have created an environment that encourages fair play above all. We undertake to instill the correct football and sportsmanship values in our players, staff and supporters thereby encouraging fair play, team spirit and friendship.
The club is governed by an elected governing committee that provides the management, governance and guidance to achieve all the clubs' goals and objectives.
