M&J in action

? U6’s had another good session. The little ones had A LOT of energy today so we did try scoring after running up and down the pitch. We tried some kicking drills today which we need to continue working on.

RS and E were awarded TREDS awards by my super helpers from u14’s as part of their DoE award.

? U7s had a training session today as Cleve couldn’t field numbers. We focused on all the basics; had a new player, 2 returning players.
Excellent effort by all. Team highlights - TREDS values by LuB and Excellent Improvement in all areas by LiB

? U8’s had good numbers today and cleve came with a bare 6, credit to the Cleve team who were very well organised and played some expansive rugby, scoring the majority of the tries. We put together some good plays and scored a couple of tries. Our treads player of the match went to LB. Lots to work on next week.

? U9s faced a strong tackling Cleve team at home this morning. Supermarine attacking strongly with great ball retention and offloads meaning that lots of tries were scored even against a strong defence. Some individual performances aside, Supermarine were struggling in defence and so more work needed on tackle confidence. Coaches were very pleased with the level of rugby on show.
MCS and XCS took home the TREDS players of the day, while RH (30), MCS, XCS (both 20) and RE (10) gained their latest 10 cap milestones.

? Under 10s. We had a great game today against Cleeve, Cleeve dominated early exchanges but we steadily worked our way back into the game, a really good tussle between two committed sides. Our rucking has improved immensely from where we have been over the last three weeks and really impressed with both our attacking game and team work. Both teams worked really hard in defence with some big ball carriers playing for Cleeve. Big shout out to all the mums who gave up their Sunday morning to bring their children to rugby, hope you all had a lovely day!

? U11 hosted Cleve, very strong physical team. Some good rugby played and lots to work on in training.

? Very tough day for the U13’s at home against Stroud. The boys couldn’t seem to settle into playing their game of rugby and Stroud maximised on this by picking open spaces and scoring trys.

Strong performances again this week for CL and TB saw them awarded MOTM.

After the game the boys took a moment to thank their mums who bring them to rugby week in week out.

? Under 14’s continued there preparation for the semi final working on rucking and attacking drills.
