With 2 changes from the side that won 3-2 last time out Sutton Athletic visited run away leaders Erith and Belvedere in the SCEFL premier league
Returning to the squad was midfielder Jacob Kalonda after a 5 month injury lay off .
Sutton started the brighter and were rewarded with the opener when Merrick Simms shot from a throw in lobbed the hosts keeper to make it 0-1
The goal seemed to wake the home side into life and the match became a more even contest.
In the 29th minute E&B we’re level when a long throw was finished by Bradley Ryan 1-1
Three minutes later and The Sutts were back in front. A well worked move from front to back was finished by Arlie Desanges for his 21st goal of the season. 1-2
The lead didn’t last long however and The Hosts we’re back in it from long throw. 2-2 after 34 minutes
Once again the visitors took the lead. A Jacob Kalonda free kick was fired into the top corner from a tight angle
2-3 at HT and what looked like a Sutton Athletic GOTS competition.
The hosts went back to front with more urgency to get back into the game and their efforts were met by an excellent header from Tunde Aderonmu on 69 minutes to make it 3-3
There was still time for more drama. Sutton winger Neil Spencer rode several late tackles to break into the box, fire a cross in the box which was met by Connor Watson who calmly slotted home 3-4
For the final 12 minutes E&B throw the kitchen sink at the visitors defence which was finally breached in the 88th minute when Rory Wards shot in the box levelled it at 4-4
