Sutton Athletic lost their first league game of the new season after a poor first half an hour, which saw Punjab 2-0 up
An under hit back pass left keeper Joe Hyde in no man’s land and he was second to the ball bringing down the Punjab attacker for a penalty. The penalty was cooly despatched giving the hosts a 4th minute lead.
It was one way traffic as Punjab played forward quickly penning in the Sutts.
A ball fizzed across the box and was played in off the foot of defender Charlie Plummer 2-0
The Sutts then rallied before half time with Charlie Plummer getting a goal back on 35 minutes from a far post header.
The Sutts ended the half stronger pushing for a leveller.

Second half it was The Sutts turn to play down hill. Both sides had chances in an even second half before Punjab scored their 3rd goal on 87 minutes
In injury time Theo White was brought down in the box. A penalty was awarded to Sutton. Conor Evans had two bites of the cherry, first a save from the keeper, then on the rebound Conor hit the post.
