Sutts share the spoils in September score draw

Sutton Athletic kept up their unbeaten home form in the league thanks in part to a late goal from Kola Salami.

The Sutts hosted well fancied Glebe FC today in the SCEFL Premier League

The game started well for Sutton with the team keeping the ball and looking to find pockets of space to play through.

In a game of few chances Glebe took the lead on 10 minutes when Harry Gamble’s shot took a wicked defection to beat Joe Hyde at the far post. From then until the half time break Glebe continued to probe without creating too many chances.

The second half saw a reinvigorated Sutton Athletic playing for fun in the 2nd half with Glebe looking sit in and take their 1-0 win and 3 points back to Chislehurst.

On the hour mark midfielder Billy Muckle was sent off for 2 yellow cards in the space of 5 minutes. The dismissal surprised those in attendance considering what had gone before.

Being down to 10 men the Sutts grew even more into the game, creating chances but not finishing them off

5 changes took place 2nd half with all 5 players impacting the game.

With the game management by the hosts eating up time there was 10 minutes of added time after the regulation 90.

Kola Salami made the most of the Glebe keeper spilling Conor Evans chance to level for the Sutts in the 98th minute.
