Saturday 19th September, Sutton hosted bearsted at the London hire stadium, a fixture which has always been tight between the two teams. Sutton started brightly but it was Bearsted with a half chance but sutts keeper Stewart comes and claims well. Arlie deagnes had the first good chance for Sutton after a good first time ball from Frazer walker through to desagnes but his chip went over. Bearsted had a few good chances in quick concession with both being free headers but chances not troubling keeper Stewart. Arlie desagnes again with another chance for Sutton but header just a little over, unlucky, half time finishing 0.0.
second half bearsted have first chance but shot went wide. Not long after Ben Williams captain for Sutton had a chance but chance over. Sutton should of been awarded a penalty when desagnes was fouled in the box but somehow gal kick given, bad decision. At the other end of the pitch Bearsted should of gone 1.0 up but shot over, and a big let off for Sutton. Sutton was also lucky to not be behind but keeper stewart pulled off two very good saves to keep the score level. At this stage the game was about the keepers as this time Bearsted keeper pulled off two great saves one shot from dan gunner and the follow up from jack longhurst. Defenders page and Francis for Sutton were making great tackles, Francis with one clearance off the line from a Beartsted corner. both team have a few more chances Sutton chances either wide or saved, steward for Sutton making another good save. Bearsted do go ahead when a strike from 20 yards goes under kieron arm into the bottom corner, 1.0 to Bearsted. 5 minutes later the same player runes with the ball down the right wing and goes for a chip, which somehow goes in to make it 2.0 to Beartsed. not what Sutton want, and final result ends 2.0.
