Four in two out for the Royals

Royals manager Neil Tooth has shuffled his pack after a poor start to the campaign. Tooth last night signed 4 new players and promised at least another 2 in the coming weeks. Joining the club are Steven Leslie, Tyler Blake, Jason Law and Harvey Smith and as a result Ashley Vincent and Nathanial Waite have been released.

Tooth had the following to say, “Steven Leslie was part of the Solihull Moors side that won the Conference North last season and lists Shrewsbury Town and Hereford amongst his former sides. Steven is a left sided player who will bring quality as well as experience to the side. Tyler Blake and Jason Law have signed on loan from Mansfield Town where both are highly thought of. I cant praise Mansfield Town enough for helping get the deals done in a busy week for them and after speaking to Karl Hawley who is assistant manager there he has said both are more than capable of adapting to the northern premier league and lets be honest he should know after his achievements last season. The final signing is Harvey Smith who we have promoted from out under 21s. Harvey is 6ft 4in and a forward who causes all sorts of problems. Im really excited to see him develop with us and im sure he will make the grade.”

Going in the opposite direction are Ashley Vincent and Nathaniel Waite and we asked Tooth about his thinking behind that. “Its not worked out for either and I needed to freshen things up. The way we have been playing has suited neither player if im honest but thats football. We have not fallen out iv spoken to both and explained my reasons and I wish them all the best.”

From all at the Royals welcome to the new lads and thanks for your efforts to the ones leaving.
