Rebuilding with Optimism

Our return to the Birmingham & District Football League was not the success we had all hoped for and the rebuild of the team was far greater than we had anticipated. Only 5 regular players remained from the 2016-17 season.
 
The season had many positives, a good crop of young players and we beat the champions Village and all the top 5 teams, except Silhill. Our youngsters will have learned a lot over the course of the season and will continue to grow in confidence. 
 
Our naivety was our weakness, we led in 10 of our 24 games, only to lose the lead. 
 
Losing our final game to Silhill was a disappointing way to end  the season, but we all look forward to pre-season and what we hope will be a better 2018-19 season.
