Swaffham Town Football Club are delighted to announce the retention of our fantastic management team for the 2018/19 season!
The club are looking forward to seeing the management team build on some impressive milestones met last year and exceed the highest of standards set.
We would like to thank Paul, Chris, Nath, David and Sam for their continued commitment and support of Swaffham Town Football Club and I’m sure you’ll agree that the club is a better place with them around.
Now a few words from the managers:
Paul Hunt
Looking back on last season, we started with the nucleus of a good side and added some good players through the season, narrowly missing out on promotion. Added to this a number of our successful under 18’s progressed through the reserves and into the first team, they showed their quality and confirmed to us that the one club mentality we have is working well. With, this in mind, I had no hesitation accepting the offer to continue as First Team Manager for the coming season. As always, I will look to strengthen the squad in key areas and am looking forward to working with my players, coaches and committee again for another positive season.
Chris Carter
I am really looking forward to another productive, enjoyable season. The reserve team is working well at developing players for the first team and providing a link for the under 18s to progress into senior football. I can't wait to get the season started with the pedlars.
Nathan Pack
After reaching the heights of last season, retaining the North Division League title this year will be a very different challenge. With over half of the squad graduating from the 18s into the adult teams, the squad will be much more youthful this time out. This however, is a challenge Sam, Dave and I will relish as we trial new players, try new systems and give a new breed of youngsters the chance to excel in under 18,s football and progress into the senior teams.
*Sam Loomes and David Robinson will continue to support Nathan with the U18’s for the upcoming season.
The club will do everything it can to continue to support Paul and his management team throughout their tenure with the club; it’s safe to say we are all looking forward to the season ahead.
Player announcements and signings will be released in due course.
