Which age group are you open to?
We are open to ages 7 to 16 (inclusive)...
As long as potental members can catch a ball.

I have requested membership on your website; does this mean I am now a club member?
Please be advised: We do not use Pitchero to manage club membership; we therefore must advise you joining our website has no bearing to membership with us as a club.
The appropriate/correct method to sign up to us online; is to simply contact us via the link besides our chairmen’s name (but to save time you can simply click here), as this will ensure that your request can be processed appropriately... and in a more timely fashion.

Are you a Southampton club?

Yes, we certainly are! We are based within the Sholing area of Southampton, which is within the city boundary.

Do you hold trials; what do i need to do to join SJNC?

Apart from our emergency contact form, that is it!
For safety reasons; it is ideal if potential members can catch a netball, but this need not exclude you from joining us! As for trials; we are a community club, open to all!
No trials! No exams! No waiting lists! Just community netball...

I am a current member but I want to do (or are currently sitting) GCSE PE, will I need to leave the club?

There is absolutely no need to leave for GCSE PE, if anything we'd be happy to enhance your learning... please let us know if we can help! Furthermore; as membership with SJNC is an 'out of school' activity, why should it affect your in school GCSEs... it does not. Therefore, there is no need to leave us...

Your club is boring!

If you ever feel that you are not getting enough from your training; please tell us...
Netball in itself can be a fun and rewarding sport; so can SJNC... We are here for you!
Any feedback you have about us; good or bad, please let us know...

How far can I advance within the sport of netball within SJNC?
(What opportunities are there?)

Our (award winning) Level 2 Coach; who has had more than 20 years working with young persons, has the opportunity (along with the individual) to recommend trials for County.
As a club; our primary objective is to coach and teach the sport of netball, this is the same common objective for all netball clubs.
In short therefore; you can progress as far as you wish to go… providing that you are able to meet the required standards. Where possible; we will aim to help you to achieve your goals, on the court and within netball as a sport...

Do you pay your coaches and staff?

We are all volunteers within SJNC; who give up our time for the good of the sport and our members. Whilst we gain no financial reward, we operate safe in the knowledge that we are helping to maintain a healthy lifestyle for our young persons.

Why do you ask for sub fees?
The weekly sub fees that we receive; pay for venue hire and running costs.
