“At Least We Turn Up” makes reference to his famous post-match speech when captaining England in Dublin in 1973. Those who attended Thornbury’s Jubilee sporting dinner will remember the moving tribute Fergus (or is it Fergal?) Slattery made to John Pullin about that game when speaking at the dinner.
