Two penalties in side the opening 11 minutes proved costly in the season opener. Anstey started brightly and were awarded a penalty on the 6th minute which was confidently converted. 5 minutes later another penalty saw Anstey doubled the lead.

The game soon settled and chances were few and far between. Nirvana grew into the game and were much stronger in the second half, however not really creating enough to make the pressure count. Nirvana did score what turned out to be a consolation, when 17 year old Shuiab Gannan unleashed a screamer past the ex Leicester City GK Conrad Logan.
