Match report by Hugo Austin

On Saturday Tows were on there travels to Wiltshire where they were up against the excellent club and ground of Trowbridge.

Despite early pressure from Towcester from the off, it was the home side who were first on the score sheet. Kicker Tom Weaver stroking over two big penalties with the advantage of the wind behind him.

It took Tows till late in the first half to finally get into the game and register a score. Attempting to use the wind the ball was booted down field by the home team, Tows wing Pepe Nanci picked up the loose ball and ran it back at Trowbridge he then found centre David Williams who crashed through to score. Falvey hitting the post from wide out.

The second half turned out to be a completely different game, Trowbridge began to make mistakes and Tows were pouncing on these opportunities. A kick down field from Falvey resulted in the ball being messed up by Trowbridge, David Devlin-Jones hacked the ball on and despite being tackled off the ball Matt Bodily picked up to score. Falvey added.

Then began a sustainable period of pressure from the home side, a few penalties which could have been kicked were knocked into the corner, only to be thwarted by the Tows defence which functioned well throughout. All this being too much for the home side as their frustration turned into a lack of discipline, their second row gaining a card.

Tows took advantage of the extra man, finding prop Joe Chambers on the wing who found Falvey to cross and convert.

The visitors were now firmly on top and were feeding on the home teams mistakes Bodily again picking up loose ball and found Craig Holton who scored. Falvey adding the extras as well as another penalty.

The home defence were now sorely stretched and to poor salt into their wounds Keiran Frost slipped a sneaky ball to replacement fly half Ben Roe who scored to give Tows a Pleasant bus ride home.
