It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of our friend, brother, and teammate Dr Kishan Sharma, who sadly passed away on Wednesday 30 th March 2022 whilst on holiday in the Maldives, on his way to visiting family in India. During his trip via the Maldives, Kishan suffered a cardiac arrest whilst swimming, and tragically was unable to be revived after being rescued from the sea and given medical intervention both on the beach and at the hospital too.

Kishan was an integral part of our Cheshire County League Division 3 West Sunday Champions last season performing fantastically in helping us achieve our first title since we moved to Trafford MV Cricket Club at the end of the previous season.

Kishan was an incredibly humble guy, a fantastic husband to his wife Aparna and his young daughter, a great teammate, friend, and incredible doctor too. No matter the situation Kishan always had a smile on his face, and a willingness to help his teammates all of the time. Kishan was truly a great person to know, and the world will be a sadder place for not having him in it, his memory however will live on with his teammates, club players and all who knew him.

His wife Aparna also wanted to share Kishan's joy when he restarted formal cricket after a long time away from the game. He spoke about cricket a lot at home, was looking forward to the forthcoming season with great enthusiasm.

We ask at this time to keep Kishan, his wife Aparna and young daughter, wider family, and his teammates at Trafford MV Cricket Club in your thoughts and prayers, and that we respect the family's request for privacy please.
