The U10 Minors faced the Portadown Colts in their first match. The Minors have come a long way in a short time and it showed in this performance. Expert coaching has led to a strong team ethic of togetherness, dogged determination and ambition. Great passing and positional awareness that belies their young age are a trademerk of this ever-improving side under strong guidance from coach Paul Towe. Great show lads!
The Juniors faced old rivals Moira FC and what an entertaining display from players on both teams! The Juniors have improved enormously with coaching from Chrissy Lavery, in particular where defence, passing ability and an eye for goal are concerned. Young James Donnely had picked up an injury in training and was sorely (excuse the pun) missed! Physical challenges, superb team (and individual) performances resulted in mouth-watering goals and a spot of crossbar rattling.
