Weekend Round Up – 01 - 02 March:
A relatively quiet weekend (not!) down Parkfields.
Lets start with the seniors….
Senior Rugby:
1st XV:
The President and Vice President hosted a lunch prior to the game.
The boys then took to the pitch, and took the honours 42 – 14 against Old Haileyburians on Saturday.
The result sees the T’s take top spot in the table from Old Rutlishians on points difference (2 points!) with both teams on 76 league points. Weybridge are 3rd on 74; Cobham 4th on 68.
The boys travel to Haywards Heath this Saturday hoping to keep their winning run going.
2nd XV:
The 2nd XV had to concede the game to Grasshoppers II which is a real shame give the performance the week before.
We go again this Saturday with Hackney 2nd XV the visitors.
Mini Rugby:
Looks like the U7’s & U8’s had a fine time at Bushy Park in the spring sunshine.
It’s the U9’s and U10’s turn for Middlesex Festival competition this week.
Junior Girls Rugby:
A busy week of training is followed by some proper action!
Girls U14’s - Will be at Wasps for a cluster game v Richmond & London Irish
Girls U16’s – Will be at Richmond for a Cluster game v London Irish
Girls U18’s – Will be Away for a cluster game at Chobham
Go well all the girls!
Junior Boys Rugby:
U12’s:
Training this Sunday following training last week.
U13’s:
Barnes were the visitors at the weekend. The boys had it wrapped up within the 1st half, and the coaches agreed to a training match for the remainder of the fixture.
Looks like training at home for the boys as Hitchin can’t raise a side (relief all round I’m guessing!).
U14’s:
Training this Sunday following training last week.
U15’s:
The U15’s took on Chiswick and took the honours 36-26. Adam with the details here:

The boys go again this week at home v Farnham – back in the Surrey Cup. Go well boys.
U16’s:
Effingham & Leatherhead were the visitors on Sunday. Fresh (but battered) from their Portugal tour, the U16’s had to make changes, but secured the result 39 – 17. Graham with the write up:

Away to Hertfordshire and Bishop Stortford is the reward this week!
Colts:
And just to round of an impressive set of home results, the Colts had a Surrey Cup fixture with Teddington the visitors. The boys did the club proud, and took the result 39 – 26. Paul with the details, and a poignant tribute to Justin de Ferry:

Training for the boys this week ahead of the challenges to come (staying unbeaten for one!).
Club Messages:
Tour shirts:
Unfortunately, the Mini’s won’t get on tour this season, but tour shirts for all age groups will be available for purchase. Please ‘size up’ at the TRFC shop (Anneke has the sizes for fitting purposes).
Prices are a very reasonable £29 for kids (including name & number on the back; £39 for adults). In my experience (I may just be losing my svelte shape!) you need to order a size or 2 larger in Akuma than with other brands.
Orders can also be made via Toby – tobykiddle78@gmail.com
The hope is that as many minis as possible will be wearing these tops at the Minis Festival on 27 April.
And remember Anneke has lots of other TRFC merchandise on offer to support tours and away trips….. I got my new Oddballs baseball cap to keep the Lisbon sun off my bald patch – but lost it so will be back for seconds this weekend…!
Take up the Whistle Course (At Twickenham RFC):

London Society is running Take up the Whistle at Parkfields on Monday 7th and 14th April from 19:00. You can register using the link above. Please pass around anyone in the age groups who might be interested…..
First Aid Course:
Message from Amelia –
We will be hosting face to face First aid training in the club house on Wednesday 16th April at 19:00, followed by some online modules.
As your aware, the RFU requires first aid cover for all Games AND training.
With this in mind, we aim at TRFC to have at least 3 first aiders per age group, to cover all aspects and to allow for people away on holiday, away venues etc….
Please can you all review your current first aiders, and confirm back to me names you would like to book for either a re-fresher or new? And who will be here next season!
If anyone would like to nominate themselves, please also let me know.
I will be at the ops table Sundays collating info, so please do come and chat to me if you have any queries.
Thank you for your anticipated support in keeping your children and families safe.
Many Thanks
Amelia
As always let me know if there are messages you want to convey to the wider club - or I've messed the detail up in any way!
Thanks all
