UCC Rugby's Ben O'Connor has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with Munster Rugby.
O'Connor will remain with the academy next season before moving to development and senior contracts on a two-year deal. The 20-year-old - having scored two tries in 10 appearances since joining the Munster Academy in 2023 - has signed a development contract for 2026/27 and will progress to a senior deal for the 2027/28 campaign.

Together with Scott Buckley, Edwin Edogbo, John Hodnett, Alex Kendellen and John Ryan in the Senior squad plus Sean Edogbu, Michael Foy and Gene O'Leary Kareem in the Academy that makes 9 current and ex-UCC players in the current Munster Senior + Academy setup.
