The Selkies came back from Hamilton with nothing to show for their hard work, going down 24-5 at Leigh Bent.

Despite opening the scoring on 11 minutes through a well worked try, finished off by Karine Bunce, the Selkies didn't mange to trouble the scoreboard for the remainder of the match.

The first half saw the sides compete well against each other, and the Selkies held on to their early advantage through to the break, thanks to some excellent defending and strong teamwork.

The second half unfortunately saw the home side get their game plan better organised and they drew level on 44 minutes, with the conversion nudging them into a 2 point lead. 5 minutes later it was Hamilton again who crossed the whitewash as they started to control the key phases.

The Selkies battled hard, but were unable to get the control they needed at the critical moments. With the match into the final quarter it was Hamilton who added their 3rd try on 65 minutes, with the conversion realistically taking the game beyond the Selkies, before securing the 4 try bonus point with 6 minutes of play remaining.

The defeat sees the Selkies remain in 4th place in the league table with 2 fixtures still to play.

Next Sunday, 12 November, it is Hillhead Jordanhill who are the visitors to Castle Policies. Kick off at 2pm
