At a rain soaked Castle Policies Uddingston and the medics served up a 14 try bonanza for the small bunch of hardy supporters. To the delight of the home fans it was the villagers who notched up 12 of the tries to secure a 70-14 victory.
Despite a shaky start which saw them concede 2 converted tries in the opening 25 minutes they focussed on the task at hand and had the 4 try bonus point in the bag by half time.
A Clinton Boyd try split the Medic scores with the Ruairidhs securing the other 3, Anderson picking up a brace and West the other. Captain Quinn slotted 2 successful conversions to take the Villagers into the break with a 24-14 advantage.
With the elements refusing to improve it was the Villagers who took full control of the second period running in 46 unanswered points from 8 tries and 3 conversions.
Scoring honors went to Blane Anderson (2), Alston, McPherson, Crichton, Buchanan, and a further pair for West to secure his hat trick. Quinn added the conversions.
The win takes the Villagers up to 4th in the table but having played more fixtures than the others.
Next Saturday, 21/01, the Villagers make the trip to Fintry to face Strathendrick and will be keen to extend their winning run. Kick off at 2pm.
