The Villagers saw a crucial win snatched from their grasp in the dying seconds at Castle Policies when a well struck penalty gave Clydebank a 2 point victory in a tight encounter.
The first period was all Uddingston as 2 tries from Calum Anderson, supplemented by a conversion and penalty from his brother Ruairidh, saw the Villagers go into the break with a 15-0 advantage.
If they Villagers thought they had the match won, the Bankies had other ideas. The second half belonged to them, scoring 2 converted tries taking the match into the closing phases with Uddingston hanging onto a 1 point lead. With seconds of normal time remain the Villagers were penalised, and the Bankies calmly slotted home the penalty for a critical win.
This result sees the Villagers drop one place to 8th in the table, and an uphill struggle to get back to winning ways.
Next Saturday, 23/10, it's a tough Lanarkshire derby when the Villagers make the trip to Motherwell to face Dalziel. Kick off 3pm
