4th place US Portsmouth travel to Romsey Town who sit in 7th and will expect and a tough match as always.
US go into the match on the back off 3 consecutive league wins the latest of which being the 5-2 defeat of Laverstock & Ford last week at the Victory Stadium. However, after the defeat in midweek and exit from the Hampshire Senior Cup, it will be important today to bounce back with a good performance and get a result to bring home.
Romsey also come into the game on the back of a Hampshire Senior Cup exit having been beaten 5-0 by Lymington Town in midweek and have had an up and down season so far.
Having won 3 but also lost 3 they have been unpredictable with goals being shared equally around the side and 3 players with 3 goals a piece leading their goalscoring figures.
Last season: after their relegation from the premier division the year before, Romsey struggled throughout last term and the corresponding fixture last time round ended 4-0 to US with goals from Magro and Coker, but of whom should be available to start again today at the Bypass Ground. The return fixture at the Victory Stadium ended 4-1, but looking ahead to today's match, it will be a completely different encounter.
A friendly welcome and an entertaining match is anticipated and all at the club are looking forward to the next test and hopefully a positive response to Tuesday night's match.
Kick off is at 3pm at the Bypass Ground, Romsey SO51 8GJ.
