At Headingley Stadium on Wednesday 7th October the headline act of Leeds Varsity 2015 took place. University of Leeds took on Leeds Beckett in a physical match which ended 27-13 to Beckett. Despite some very entertaining rugby played by both sides the game was cut short due to a large volume of streakers invading the pitch. One of the benefits to draw from last Wednesday were the number of debutants on the field which highlights the new talent being brought through the club.
Mark Luffman, the new Uni head coach, displayed the rejuvenated side who had been working hard for weeks in pre-season. The side now looks ready to begin an aggressive league campaign. Exciting times ahead!
