The development of Wheal Gerry took further steps forward with the installation of new England RFU rugby posts in November 2009. This is being followed by new flood lighting which will increase the training area and at the moment the ground is due to be fenced by the New Year 2010. This should improve the safety of the pitch and will provide a more secure ground.
The second team - Veor Vikings - have played just under ten games already this season and the number of players available and performances have slowly been improving. The Vikings won their first game on Saturday 27th November against Perranporth II's 33-17 and will look to develop further as the season progresses.
