Saturday 8th of June, everything was set for a perfect afternoon of rugby and Vorarlberg‘s last home game of the season.
Even the weather forecast was predicting best conditions and so it was.
Vorarlberg prepared well having in mind that they could go up to number three in the league.
On the other hand Bad Reichenhall knew they had to win to fix their second rank. And although they had a long journey, they came out strong and Vorarlberg were busy defending.
Only after conceeding two tries they managed to create something countable in attack. It was Serhan powering over for the first try of the home team. The guests were not really impressed and stuck to their game plan.
After half time Vorarlberg came out stronger and were able to score two more tries through Antonio and Sinner. But Bad Reichenhall did not allow them to close the gap. Finally it was a well earned 19:43 win for the Bavarians.
All in all it was a tough but fair clash in which V.R.U.F.C. were taught a lesson about where the weak points are and what to work at to make the next step forward.
We wish the injured players all the best and hope they will recover quickly.
One more thing to say: it was great to see how the new guys are improving and also to have some experienced players back in the squad.
Last but not least we would like to thank our audience who kept supporting us the whole season.
We wish you all an amazing summer and we hope we will see you again in September!
