Walney Cents make it 2 from 2

Walney Central made it two wins from two in the Cumbria League with a strong second half performance at Cockermouth.

The home side led 4-0 up until the half hour mark, then the Morrow brothers – Danny and Jamie – crossed for tries with Mark McKinley adding one conversion, making it 10-4 at the break.

Cents got on top in the second period running in tries through Matt Wlordazack, Jake Deveraux, Mike Elliott and Matt Holmes, with a further two conversions from McKinley. Tries for Cockermouth came from Sam Wilson, Jack Clarke and Ross Metcalfe.
