Walsall Wood extended their unbeaten run to nine games as they played out a goalless draw with Long Eaton United.
Despite numerous chances in the game, The Wood were unable to convert and a good defensive performance from the hosts saw them shut Long Eaton out without a shot on target.
Carter Lycett came close in the seventh minute as his lobbed effort clipped the post before Kaiman Anderson failed to convert the follow up.
Lycett continued to break past the defensive line, making a run behind in the 21st minute, but his effort went just wide of the post and then forced a strong save out of Lewis King four minutes later.
Long Eaton came close just after the interval as an effort from Jamie Hanson was blocked by Jack Burgess in the 51st minute.
Wood had further chances to win the game as Jack Kelly's cross in the 67th minute was unable to find Kaiman Anderson, before the former Stafford Rangers striker blasted an effort over the bar from six yards.
