Once again we are one team short in the division, on this occasion following Hitchin's reprieve from relegation. We do, however, have four more league games (now 40) as the FA has increased the size of Step 4 divisions. As a result we face four midweek matches compared to last season's two.

Our opening game sees us at home to Thame United on August 10th with our first midweek game three days later at Stotfold. There may well be other midweek matches if we make progress in either the FA Cup or Trophy which causes Saturday league games to be postponed.

Our first meeting with Hertford is, like last season, away on August Bank Holiday Monday with the return on New Year's Day. Surprisingly our Boxing Day and Easter Monday matches see us away and home respectively to Leighton Town. Not what you'd call a local derby. Easter Saturday takes us to Welwyn Garden City giving the home side the chance of a good gate. The return fixture at Wodson Park comes early in the season on a Tuesday night.
