Paul Halsey makes his first signings for 2022/3.

Plenty of teams seem to announce new signings for the next season the moment the previous one ends. Let's be clear, we're not going to do that until players have signed on the dotted line and they can only do that once the league is ready to take registrations.

We have now passed that point and can tell you of players who have re-signed and some who are joining for the first time. Unfortunately we can also confirm that several have left to join other clubs. We wish them all well.

So, these are the players we have retained so far from last season:-

Tom Bruno
Joel Jacobs
Louis Rose
Leigh Rose
Dan Rumens
Josh Williams

In addition I understand that Rechan Esprit, Tyriq Hunte, Mayvin Vigneswaran and Josh Williams have all indicated an intention to stay at the club but for a variety of reasons such as holidays have been unable to put pen to paper.

Lastly, Liam Hope has signed but will be joining Paul Halsey's coaching team rather than taking a regular place in the side.

New signings are:-

Sam Chaney (Midfield) - Sam joined us from Enfield Town for the 2019/20 season after National League experience with Torquay United for whom he made 56 appearances. He played four games for us but was sidelined through injury. He now rejoins us having overcome his injury problems.

Richard Bryan (Left Back) - Richard appeared in a couple of pre-season games last year but returned to the US where he played for Detroit City. He is now back in the UK and we are in the process of gaining international clearance for him.

On the other hand......

Our successful 2021/2 side has attracted attention from other clubs and we have lost a number of players to sides mostly at a higher or equivalent level. Robbie Buchanan has joined Hendon, Marcus Milner and Chris Arthur have joined FC Romania, Liam Dulson has gone to Hemel Hempstead, Albert Adu to Haringey Borough and Jay Lovell to Cockfosters. There is no news on any other player at the moment.

A word of caution, we are a long way from the start of the season and could yet experience changes to the signings shown here.
