Next up - QPR home on Saturday

Stephen King22 Jul 2016 - 08:47

First meeting with Queens Park Rangers since 1948.

Following a 5-5 friendly draw with Hertford on Christmas Day (yes, Christmas Day) we entertained QPR's A team on December 27th. Dave Mowatt and Mo Hibbert (both with two each), Alf Cliss and Presland scored in a 6-2 home win. The two teams that day are shown in the programme image published above although some changes to the expected line-ups took place.

Nearly 70 years later things are much different and with the disappearance of 'A' teams to be replaced by academies and under-21 sides we are likely to see mostly a Rangers' Under-18s side against us.

Summer heat compared with winter chill will be another change but for the spectator that should provide a shirt-sleeved afternoon in which to chill and spot players with aspirations to play in the Championship and maybe beyond.

Admission charges remain as for all pre-season matches at £5 and £2 for concessions.
