Ian Hart, who played six seasons for the first team between 1996 and 2002 scoring 31 goals in the process before taking the under-18 side to a first ever appearance in the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup, has joined the club as assistant manager.

After leaving Ware in the first decade of this century Ian has filled coaching positions in East Anglia including at Histon and Soham Town Rangers. Currently he is working full time with Southend United's youth set up.

His time with Ware will be outside of his commitments with the Shrimpers and started with Tuesday's traing session which was well received by all accounts.

Ian's appointment completes Kem Kemal's back room staff with Tolga Huseyin, Kevin Kuhn and Alex Smits as coaches.
