The 5,391st game in our history is a pre-season affair and whilst in reality that makes it a friendly encounter, its significance lies in the fact that the Sean Mynott Trophy is also at stake. The untimely death of our former secretary five years ago is remembered annually with a trophy game in his name.

Our visitors currently play at Step 3 in the Southern League Premier Central division so we can expect a hard game. Last weekend they lost 2-0 away to Wingate & Finchley who we met at Wodson Park this past Tuesday and also failed to score against.

We can expect to find substitutions playing a larger than normal part in the proceedings but also perhaps see manager Paul halsey’s ideas for the coming season taking shape.
