It’s another Saturday at Wodson Park as we welcome Hadley for a Sothern League encounter. Hadley sit one place above us in the league and since an opening day defeat at Basildon in the FA Cup have gone five games with only a league draw at Hertford to blemish their record.
A tough game is expected with Isaac Stones probably the man to look out for after scoring seven of Hadley’s sixteen goals so far this season. Their best win came in Hadley’s first league game when they finished off Barton Rovers by 5-0 whilst they will want to forget the 2-2 draw at Hertford where chances galore were apparently wasted.
We have yet to lose a league game to Hadley with two wins out of the four played so far. Paul Halsey was expecting to have a full squad to choose from to defend that record but that was Monday before midweek training.
There should be a decent crowd for this game but if you can’t be part of it there will be commentary by Pete Hill and Symon Allemandy at https://90minuteslivefootball.mixlr.com/events/3688075 starting from 2.55pm.
Sunday sees two home games with the Under-15s meeting Enfield Borough, kick off 12:00 and the under-14s entertaining London Lions at 10am. You don’t need me to tell you but I will just mention that entry is free and the club room and tea bar will be open.
Next Thursday finds the under-18s at Barking in the FA Youth Cup first qualifying round hoping for another good run in the competition.
