This week it’s Welwyn Garden City who provide the opposition in the second of a series of four matches against highflyers in the division. Another result like last week’s will see us off to our worst start to a season for some time. We know we’ve had other bad runs and recovered but not so early in the season.

So what kind of a problem do the Citizens present? They are sixth in the table compared to our eighth and have enjoyed away wins over Real Bedford and Thame United (one place and one point behind us with a game in hand). Top scorer is Bailey Stevenson with seven goals from five appearances, one to keep an eye on.

There is just one youth game at Wodson Park on Sunday when the under-13s face Histon in a league cup game at 2pm. Entry is free and the club room and tea bar will be open.
